GA 25-6
Operating in the Augusta and Central Savannah River Area (CSRA), the Combat Veterans Motorcycle Association GA 25-6 Inc. is a local chapter of the national Combat Veterans Motorcycle Association. Our membership comprises combat veterans from all branches of the United States Armed Forces who are united by a shared passion for motorcycling.
Driven by a mission to support those who have protected our nation's freedoms, we actively partner with veteran care organizations to provide warm meals, clothing, shelter, and guidance. Just as importantly, we strive to ensure every veteran receives a sincere "Thank you" and "Welcome home."
To fund these initiatives, our non-profit organization sponsors and participates in multiple motorcycle-related charity events annually, directing our donations to a variety of veteran charities and care facilities.
If you wish to support our mission, please use the PayPal donate button below. We kindly request that you add a memo designating your contribution toward a specific cause, such as hurricane relief efforts, veteran housing or providing a hot meal to a homeless veteran. This allows us to allocate your generous gift exactly according to your wishes.
We have members from all 50 states and numerous countries abroad, including combat areas.
Please note that we are an ASSOCIATION and NOT a MOTORCYCLE CLUB (MC). Although we may be in a geographic area, we do not claim territory. We do not have a club house. The patch on our back is one piece.

22 Dinner
It is estimated that 22 veterans lose their lives to suicide every day. While data from the Department of Veterans Affairs suggests this tragic number is likely significantly higher, "22 A Day" has become the flagship phrase in the ongoing fight for veteran suicide awareness.
This heartbreaking epidemic also deeply impacts the spouses of our veterans. They often face the very same unseen demons, standing on the front lines alongside us and, tragically, sometimes falling victim to those same battles. Our spouses fight with us, and we must fight for them as well.
To bring vital awareness to this crisis, CVMA® GA 25-6 hosts a dinner on the 22nd of every month. Though the location changes monthly, our purpose remains steadfast: we gather to honor the brothers and sisters we have lost, to elevate awareness within our community, and to empower one another to ask the difficult questions.
Our brothers and sisters should never have to face these trials alone. We must be ready to stand beside them, take up our swords, and fight alongside them until they find healing and peace.
For many of us within the CVMA®, this is a deeply personal endeavor.
The Combat Veterans Motorcycle Association (CVMA®) is a unique and deeply unified organization comprised of combat veterans from all branches of the United States Armed Forces—the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps, Space Force, and Coast Guard. This diverse makeup ensures a rich tapestry of experiences, bonded together by the shared reality of combat service and a mutual passion for riding motorcycles. The CVMA® is not a traditional motorcycle club, but rather an association with a singular, driving mission: "Veterans Helping Veterans." Their membership is structured to include Full Members (verified combat veterans), Supporter Members (veterans with non-combat service), and Auxiliary Members (spouses of Full and Supporter members), creating a strong, family-oriented support network.
Because of the global nature of military service, the CVMA®’s reach extends far beyond local communities. The association boasts active chapters in all 50 states within the U.S., ensuring a nationwide network of support for veterans transitioning to civilian life or facing hardships. Furthermore, the CVMA® has established a significant international footprint, with members and chapters located in numerous countries abroad, including those stationed in or near active combat areas. This widespread, global presence allows the CVMA® to rapidly mobilize and support their brethren—whether it involves providing a warm meal, offering shelter, contributing to local veteran charities, or simply standing together in solidarity across borders.
History of the Combat Veterans Motorcycle Association®
The origins of the Combat Veterans Motorcycle Association (CVMA®) trace back to early 2001. The association initially took root from an internet-based group known as the Combat Vets Communications Company (CVCC). The CVCC was established as a networking and support platform for combat veterans to connect online. However, it soon became apparent that a significant portion of its members shared a deep, mutual passion for riding motorcycles. These members desired an organization that went beyond an internet forum—they wanted a physical presence, a distinctive patch, and a true brotherhood rooted in both their combat service and the motorcycling lifestyle.
Driven by this vision, 45 founding members decided to break away from the CVCC to form a dedicated motorcycle association. In May 2001, the Combat Veterans Motorcycle Association® was officially established. From the very beginning, the founders made a deliberate decision: the CVMA® would not operate as a traditional Motorcycle Club (MC). Instead, it was structured as a non-profit, tax-exempt veterans association under the 501(c)(19) designation. Their guiding principle and unwavering mission became simply, "Vets Helping Vets."
With a new organization came the need for a defining emblem. The original CVMA® patch was meticulously designed to hold deep symbolism reflecting the experiences and sacrifices of its members. The colors of the emblem were chosen with purpose: Red represents the blood shed on the battlefield in defense of freedom; Military Gold represents all branches of the United States Armed Forces; and Black signifies the heavy hearts carried for those who gave their lives, as well as those who remain Prisoners of War or Missing in Action (POW/MIA). The skull and spade at the center represent the harsh realities and the ultimate toll of war.
Over the following decades, the CVMA® experienced monumental growth. What began as a small collective of 45 internet associates transformed into a massive, internationally recognized organization. As the association evolved, it developed a structured membership to foster a broader support network. This included Full Members (verified combat veterans), Supporter Members (veterans with non-combat military service), and Auxiliary Members (spouses of Full Members). This inclusive yet service-verified structure allowed the CVMA® to drastically expand its reach and operational capabilities.
Today, the Combat Veterans Motorcycle Association® boasts thousands of members with active chapters across all 50 U.S. states and several overseas locations. Staying true to its roots, the organization continues to sponsor charity events, fund homeless veteran shelters, provide meals and clothing, and act as a vital support system for veterans returning home. From a modest online group in 2001 to a premier international veterans association, the CVMA® remains steadfast in its mission to support and defend those who have defended our country.
